This week seems to start under the sign of homage: I just learned the death of filmmaker Mario Monicelli , one of the masters of Italian comedy. Less well known than his stooges Dino Risi and Ettore Scola, he has yet unforgettable works such Cops and Robbers (with the incomparable Totò) Pigeon or the Great War, anti-war manifesto of great humanity.
For the music of his films, Monicelli appealed to sizes like: Nino Rota, Piero Umiliani , Carlo Rustichelli , and of course the inevitable Ennio Morricone. If
Travel with Anita is certainly not the best vintage Mario Monicelli, the composer delivers his theme quite remarkable.

His soundtracks were made by the cream of italian composers: Nino Rota, Piero Umiliani, Carlo Rustichelli and of course the great Ennio Morricone. If Viaggio Con Anita is surely not the best work of Mario Monicelli, you still can appreciate this wonderful theme from the maestro.
